This is the trip for people who want more than a visit. You arrive at Amaltari in the afternoon, settle in with your host family and walk down to the river for the evening light. After dinner, village dancers perform Tharu and Bote dances.
The next morning you go out on the Narayani with a Bote boatman while the mist is still on the water, then walk the riverbank looking for birds. After lunch you drive back to Bharatpur, in time for an afternoon bus or flight.

Day 1: Arrive in Amaltari
- 13:00 Pickup in Bharatpur; drive west across the Narayani.
- 14:30 Welcome tea with your host family.

Day 2: The river at dawn
