Devghat is at its most beautiful in the first hour of light. Pilgrims come down to the ghats to bathe, smoke rises from the morning fires, and on a clear day you can see the grey water of the Kali Gandaki and the green Trishuli running side by side before they merge.
Your guide explains what happens at the temples and ghats, introduces you to the ashrams where elderly devotees live, and finds a quiet spot on the bridge for photographs. You're back in Bharatpur for breakfast.
